We are found mainly in the service to the young in educational Institutions in the towns and villages as well as in health care, pastoral ministry and the development of the poor in rural background through social action and out-reach programme.
In France the Congregation is known as “Filles de Ste. Marie de La Providence” Our mother House has always been in a place called ‘Saintes’ from the beginning.
The Sisters in this part of the world are engaged in the education of the Children from various Backgrounds. They are also involved in the Social upliftment of the Marginalised and the poor.
The congregation in England is known as- ‘Daughters of Our Lady of Providence.’
The Spanish Sisters went to start the mission in Peru in a place called San Juan del Oro in 1963. They have also been engaged in the education of the children in the rural areas in the remote parts of the country. The main Address of the Congregation at present is in Trujillo.
In Spain the Congregation is known as “Religiosas de Santa Maria de la Providencia,”. The first house in Spain is in Eibar, in the district of Guipuzcoa. The sisters have been mainly engaged in the field of education and lately also in Social and Pastoral engagements in the Parishes.
The Convent in Shivpur Varanasi was established on 4th July 1981, in a rented house in Narayain Park Shivpur and moved to its present site in 1984.
